The greatest and most favored nation upon the earth is the United States. A gracious Providence has shielded this country, and poured upon her the choicest of Heaven’s blessings.

Here the persecuted and oppressed have found refuge. Here the Christian faith in it’s purity has been taught. Americans have been the recipients of great light and unrivaled mercies. But these gift have been repaid with ingratitude and forgetfulness of God.

THE Infinite One keeps a reckoning with the nations, and their guilt is proportioned to the light rejected. A fearful record now stands in the register of heaven against our land: but the crime which shall fill up the measure of our iniquity will be that of making viod the law of God.

U.S. President George Bush and Pope Benedict XVI strolled Friday through the Vatican garden during Bush’s second official meeting with the pontiff. The Vatican said the pope wanted to show his appreciation for the warmth he was shown when he visited the United States, the BBC reported.

“It’s a great honor,” Bush told Benedict, who met the president at his car, ANSA, the Italian news agency, reported. First lady Laura Bush also spoke with the pontiff, thanking him for the invitation.

Through the two great errors, the immorality of the soul and Sunday sacredness, Satan will bring the people under his deceptions. While the former lays the foundation of Spiritualism, the last creates a bond of sympathy with Rome.

America will stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of Spiritualism. She will also reach over the abyss to clasp hands with the Roman power.

And under the influence of this threefold union our country will follow in the steps of Rome in trampling on the rights of conscience.

Bush and the pope agree on issues such as abortion, stem cell research and humanitarian aid to Africa. However, the two disagree on Iran — the Vatican has open diplomatic relations with Tehran unlike the United States.

Bush flew to Europe this week to attend the EU summit in Slovenia and to visit several countries, likely for the last time as president. Bush’s next stop is Paris, where he will meet with French President Nicolas Sarkozy. The iniquiy and spiritual darkness that prevailed under the supremacy of Rome were the inevitable result or her suppression of the scriptures. Watch while President Bush gives the American people over to the control of Pope Benedict XVI and the Vatican…
